Joan Capra | Violinist

Joan Capra holds an MA in Performance from The University of California where she received a Regents Fellowship.  Joan was one of the violinists to play for Pope Francis at the historic Madison Square Garden event.  At the same concert she also accompanied: Harry Connick, Jr., Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, and Gloria Estefan.

In New York City she has performed in: Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral as well as numerous film recordings and nine Broadway shows. She performed for Michael Douglas/Catherine Zeta-Jones’ wedding and Billy Joel's 50th birthday.  She has performed with: Ray Charles, Paquito D'Rivera, Tito Puente, Chicago

Venues include:The Plaza Hotel, The Waldorf Astoria, The Pierre Hotel, The Yale Club, Metropolitan Club, The University Club. Tours include Porgy and Bess Japan tour, The Vienna Boys’ Choir U.S. tour.
